Experienced candidates and recent communications or public relations graduates are welcome to submit their resume for consideration on future openings within our organization. Your information will be entered into our central registry and kept on file for a minimum of 6 months where you will be tracked and ranked according to education, skills and previous work experience related to the position(s) you have applied for. We will contact you directly if you are matched and short listed for an opening. Please be advised that appointments in the Public Affairs Bureau are excluded from the bargaining unit.

  • Download, save and complete our HR Questionnaire Form (word doc | PDF doc) after reading all instructions. Please do not copy and paste, modify or change the format of this form. Mac users may need to complete the PDF copy in writing and fax to us at 250 387-3534.
  • Save a copy of the completed HRQ, and e-mail along with your resume to : pabcommcareers@gov.bc.ca. The subject line of your e-mail must be in the following format: LASTNAME, FirstName: 2007.MM.DD (Resume & HRQ).

Optional: Letters of recommendation may also be submitted, as well as short samples of written communications work (3 max.), and will be added to your file for future reference. Electronic copies are preferable, but they may also be mailed or faxed to 250 387-3534 once you have e-mailed your resume and HRQ to our mailbox as noted above.

Eligibility to Apply

You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada (as defined by Citizenship & Immigration Canada) to be eligible for employment in the Public Affairs Bureau. Some individuals may have authorization from the Government of Canada to work in B.C. on a time-limited basis. If you have this authorization, you are only eligible for employment if the length and location of the appointment and the nature of the work meets the conditions specified in your authorization documents.
