British Columbia ’s Sea-to-Sky Corridor stretches
from the coastal drive on the outskirts of Greater
Vancouver, northeast into the Coastal Mountain Range
and beyond. The Corridor is in close proximity to the
large population base of the lower mainland and links
communities from West Vancouver to Squamish, Whistler
and Pemberton, to name a few.
The Corridor is a world renowned tourist destination, known for its exceptional scenery and recreational activities, and will be host to the Nordic events of Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (the Games).
Recognizing the uniqueness of the Corridor, the Province, First Nations, and local governments are working together to ensure environmental sustainability, healthy communities, and to create a meaningful legacy for communities before, during and after the Games.
Provincial agencies are coordinating
a broad range of initiatives including transportation
projects, recreational strategies, land use negotiations
and regional growth development.
This website is intended to provide a glimpse into some of the ongoing activities in the Sea-to-Sky Corridor.
